About me

Adrián Lamela Aragonés, co‑founder of LamFor Habana Photography Service and now founder and owner of Lamela Photo Journey, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the Instituto Superior de Arte in Cuba. He is a professional photographer and photography instructor. Adrián has worked on landscape, street, portrait, and visual arts projects, always maintaining a close connection between everyday life and nature. His work has been exhibited as part of the 15th Havana Biennial, at the Wifredo Lam Center of Contemporary Art, and in group shows at Fábrica de Arte Cubano in Havana.

For more than eight years, he has applied his professional experience to organizing creative, urban, and nature photography trips and workshops across different regions of Cuba, welcoming both Cuban and international participants.

From this experience—and from the desire to capture and share, through the lens, the historical, cultural, social, and natural richness of Cuba from a local point of view and as an immersive experience—Lamela Photo Journey was born: a 100% Cuban, enthusiastic, and passionate team made up of specialized guides, professional photographers working as assistants, and experienced drivers. Their purpose is to help photographers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, discover Cuba through the camera.

Each itinerary combines visits to the most iconic locations with the discovery of lesser‑known places, always seeking authentic moments, with a strong emphasis on working with light and technical experimentation, while ensuring safe situations for photography. There are also opportunities to meet photographers who have played a key role in the development of Cuban photography.

Lamela Photo Journey tours focus on learning by doing: composition, camera handling and light control, environmental portraiture, creative use of color and motion. Beyond enjoying a unique trip, the goal is for visiting photographers to leave Cuba with a strong body of work. To achieve this, portfolio reviews are offered, along with visual and conceptual tools that strengthen their growth as photographers and serve as valuable resources for future travels.
